B

Definition:

The letter “B” is the second letter of many alphabets, including but not limited to the modern English alphabet.

Etymology:

The symbol for the letter “B” originates from the Proto-Sinaitic alphabet. The alphabet evolved into phonecion the alphabet, which became the basis for several other alphabets, including the Greek alphabet (Beta), from which the Latin alphabet, and subsequently the modern English alphabet, developed. The Phoenician letter for “B” looked like a house, which is how the sound “B” was represented. Over time, the shape of the letter evolved into its current form in various alphabets.

Description:

Saying “the B-word” is a way of censoring the curse word “bitch.” The term “the B-word” hints at the meaning of the curse word. Which is metaphorical for “B” being hollow (a vagina symbol).

Symbolism:

The symbol for the letter “B” is two compound uppercase “D” letters stacked on top of each other. The letter “D” consists of a semicircle combined with a vertical stroke from end to end of the semicircle. When the semicircle is drawn downwards, it bends to the left at the bottom. The symbol for the letter “B” originates from the Greek alphabet, where the symbol was mirrored with two triangles instead of two semicircles.

The letter “B” has symbolized a house since the Proto-Sinaitic alphabet, with the meaning of “to house” or “to contain.” In other words, “B” is feminine in that it’s something one can put something inside. A house is a metaphor for a construction project meant to sustain a fantasy.

The symbol “B” carries the same symbolism as the number “2” based on the symbol “B” consisting of two doors or two windows. Two doors symbolize entrance and exit (front door and back door). Two windows symbolize insight and outlook.
